Sustainable Laundry Automation: find out more at the JENSEN booth P11/T20, hall 4, at Expo Detergo!

The JENSEN booth at Expo Detergo 2010 is designed to give you a vision of your future with JENSEN technology and how it can move your business ahead. JENSEN will show the latest developments on its offerings to heavy duty laundries to suit their increased need for productivity and ecological efficiency.

“We will be illustrating the benefits to be gained from a partnership with JENSEN. Using our advanced technologies and services we enable a profitable business and have the answers for current and future demands in our industry,” says Jesper Jensen, C.E.O. of the JENSEN-GROUP. At the same time, JENSEN is celebrating 50 years of laundry solutions, and confirms its commitment to the industry by displaying their latest innovations.

Washroom Technology

The newest addition to the proven Senking line of continuous batch washers is the CompactLine CL600, an entry level washroom system with a very compact layout. It is particularly suited for small laundries or for midsized businesses that seek to expand their capacity. The new CompactLine CL 600 supports a continuous production flow and is very versatile in its use; it can treat all sorts of linen and offers the highest customer orientation.

As a plus, the consumption of resources is extremely low: A consumption of less than 3 l of fresh water per kg is achievable, and the savings in detergents (more than 50%)  and energy (more than 25%) are not only impressive, but have also been confirmed by customers. Also the subsequent Senking Water Extraction Press SEP 50Plus has undergone major improvements: it comes with a new post design, an electronic level control of the press cushion with auto-refill and an ultrasonic positioning control of the press ram for highest productivity. Standing water is avoided thanks to the closed and patented TopDrain System -  it is a new benchmark in water extraction technology and hygiene standards.

Flatwork Technology

Laundry managers looking at upgrading their flatwork section will be excited to see the wide range of equipment to suit any individual requirement. One of the highlights is the Jenroll EXPG 2000 gas-heated ironer that uses oil as a heating medium. The flexible chest can be heated up to 230° C and provides maximum contact with the linen for high-quality ironing. When developing new machines, the performance of the laundry is of course the top priority, but JENSEN also keeps the staff in mind. This can be noticed in the ergonomics of the Logic Plus Feeder, which offers ideal conditions when feeding large and small pieces thanks to the adjustable feeding height position between 1095 and 1275 mm. The Jenfold Classic remains the most versatile large piece folder with a large selection of cross folders for various types of linen; at the Milano show, it will be seen for the first time with the famous Italian crossfold and a direct bypass of small pieces. Italian quality can also be discovered in the Concorde, an expert in small piece folding and very unique in its performance, as all folds are carried out with the linen in motion. Despite its reduced operation speed, the Concorde reaches a very high productivity rate and razorlike folds.

Garment Technology

The well-proven Butterfly series was recently supplemented by the new Butterfly Fox that, in combination with the automatic Lobster system hanger, automates the entire work process chain. With many options, the Fox can be configured to meet all requirements for perfectly folding heavy garments, microfiber textiles, overalls and bib overalls: the Butterfly Fox folds, sorts and stacks basically one’s entire professional wardrobe as quickly as a flash – in one hour, as many as 900 pieces can be processed. Compared to its family members, the Fox contains less moving parts in the new hanger unloading unit which facilitates a high, constant performance and offers highest availibility. It will be shown in combination with the successful Metricon automated conveyor system that simplifies the transport of garments to the Butterfly Fox.

Automation

JENSEN looks forward to launching its newest approach to central production monitoring at Expo Detergo: the brand new JENSEN Cockpit collects all actual, measurable data from the machine and facilitates the communication between the laundry and the production areas by means of personal computers. By this, several types of information are gathered: all actual machine data in real time on the status of the machines, the presence of the operators at the individual working spaces, and the type of garment or textile being processed. But also all stored data such as total production time, (running, being serviced, waiting, stopped), throughput per machine, per batch or even per operator. It also obtains statistics on the consumption of water, gas, steam, electricity and can supply exact data for creating delivery notes and invoices for end customers. The new JENSEN Cockpit can be truly called a quantum leap in the automation of heavy duty laundries, and confirms the company’s commitment to delivering the industry’s highest level of automation for maximum productivity.

At the JENSEN booth, visitors will be able to discover the economical and ecological advantages of sustainable laundry automation, and at the same time, celebrate 50 years of laundry solutions with JENSEN’s management and staff. The JENSEN booth is not to be missed!
