Save gas for your ironer...and lower your CO2 footprint

The JENSEN-GROUP has updated the software for eligible EXPG ironers to provide a more gas-efficient way of regulating the burner. We do this via PID, or “proportional–integral–derivative” technology.

To maintain a steady temperature, the EXPG ironer burner currently turns on and off and with a set-point temperature around +/- 8° Celsius. When changing temperature due to production requirements, the set-point temperature is reached slowly, overshoots, and then requires a longer time to reach a stable temperature. With PID technology, the burner will keep a steady temperature of around only +/- 2° Celsius, and therefore maintain a much more efficient regulation. Our tests have shown gas savings of up to 10% under mixed production.

A JENSEN service engineer will upgrade your JENSEN EXPG ironer built from 2010 onward. We require only one day on site for hardware changes and a software update.

The PID upgrade for JENSEN EXPG ironers is a high-value offering to reduce the consumption of gas and the CO2 footprint of your laundry.
