Client Spotlight: Insightful Interview on JENSEN's Service Check and HygienePlus Upgrade

What began with initial concerns swiftly transformed into a flourishing partnership. Nor Tekstil’s journey with us led to a significant service agreement for 17 laundries in Norway and the seamless implementation of our HygienePlus upgrade. In a recent interview, Ove Belsvik, owner of NT, shared valuable insights about the impact of our Service Check and the HygienePlus Upgrade.

Service Check Reflections
In response to our inquiry about their one-year experience with our Service Check, Ove Belsvik highlighted its crucial role in stabilizing their production during the high season this summer. He emphasized the value of our proactive and preventive approach, which effectively mitigated potential machine failures and minimized costly downtime. The customer especially liked the productive Microsoft Teams meetings conducted before the service visits, which facilitated the preparation of necessary spare parts and supply products for the upcoming visit. 
When asked about the improvements or positive changes in their business operations as a result of using Service Check, Ove Belsvik pointed out how it helped them to avoid costly productions stops, leading to an improved overall performance. “As soon as you prevent costly production stops, numbers also improve.” The customer also underlined that Service Check has been essential in maintaining their primary goal of steady and high production, as a good maintenance system is a key element in achieving this goal. They also noted a noticeable enhancement in equipment uptime and expressed satisfaction with the support provided. Finally, Ove Belsvik indicated their intent to renew their service contract with JENSEN, provided the current service standards are upheld. 


HygienePlus Upgrade Insights
During the discussion about the HygienePlus Upgrade, Ove Belsvik mentioned the remarkable improvements observed in their hot water and chemical usage following the installation of the UV light system in the rinse zone.  The results were clear and compelling, prompting them to make the decision to install the upgrade on a second tunnel washer.

This improvement brought tangible benefits in terms of operational costs and also underscored their commitment to sustainable and efficient practices. 

To maintain a consistently low level of bacteria in the rinse tone, they conduct daily tests, which is in line with the requirements by the laundry inspection service. This not only ensures compliance but also demonstrates their commitment to maintaining the highest hygiene standards. Moreover, the customer reported the visible elimination of bacteria film between the inner and outer drum, indicating a tangible improvement in their tunnel washer cleanliness and functionality. While providing an exact return on investment figure proved challenging, they estimated a reasonable ROI of two-three years, taking into account the time and costs saved due to the upgrade.
